Falling Into Family Traditions, Sports, and Pumpkin Fun
Autumn’s in the Air
Can you believe that we are already in the second week of October? The cooler weather is certainly a reminder that fall is here, and that winter is on its way.
Fall is one of the most enjoyable times of the year for so many people. A few things in fall that my family and I enjoy, are apple cider, fall sports, the changing of the leaves, picking pumpkins, and Thanksgiving.
Homemade Apple Cider (With or Without Cloves)
My wife likes to make the apple cider from scratch, for our family. She uses apple juice, cranberry juice, cinnamon, sticks, and cloves. If you’re reading this and thinking that cloves are disgusting, you’re right. She’s sitting across from me laughing as I read this out loud right now. Perhaps this will peer pressure her not to use cloves for future apple cider makings. She also is suggesting that I could write about simmer pots, but I will pass on that for now.Â
Sports Season Heaven (Sorry, Rockies Fans)
My family and I also enjoy to watch playoff MLB baseball, various levels of football, in the start of baseball and hockey season. Late September into early October, is in my opinion, one of the best times of year for those who are sporting fans….unless you like the Rockies, the season is usually over by then. And yes, we are Rockies fans.Â
Pumpkin Picking with Our Real Estate Family
This year, we took advantage of our real estate team’s get together, to pick the pumpkins for Halloween this year. This year the event was hosted at Tigges farm and was a great success. We had so many clients and friends show up, and participate in pumpkin picking, horse carriage rides, the petting zoo, and also the fresh farmers market that they had there which specialized in hatch chilies. If you were not able to make this event, we certainly hope to see you at future ones that we have throughout the year.Â
