Foothills Life
Nestled at the foothills of the Rocky Mountains, CSU and West is a lively part of Fort Collins. A large part of this area is occupied by CSU’s campus. With many college student occupying this area, this section is filled with many attached dwellings. City park plays a major role in the area and a central hub during the summer months. With a golf course, waterpark, rolling grass lawns, this is an excellent place to spend a sunny day in Fort Collins. Host to the annual City Park Food Truck Rally on Tuesdays from early summer to late fall and the City of Fort Collins 4th of July firework display, City Park is packed with family friendly activities. Also in the area is the Holiday Twin Drive-In theater. One of the last remaining drive-ins in the country making this a truly unique experience. The foothills give easy access to Horsetooth Reservoir, Horsetooth Open Space, and the Poudre Canyon for ample mountain adventures.

Foothills and Mountain Access
Majority of these beautiful neighborhoods are flat, but there are some rolling hills in the area as you get closer to the foothills of the Rocky Mountains. This area provides easy access to the Horsetooth Recreation Area and the Poudre River Canyon.
Diverse Properties
Due to Colorado State University’s campus occupying a large part of this section, many of the properties available are attached dwellings. However, detached properties can be found in the northern and southern parts of this section.
Architecture
This area is widely varied in architectural styles. From renovated homes to condos to mid-century homes, this area is truly varied when it comes to style of homes.
Schools
This area feeds Poudre High School and Rocky Mountain High School. This area also contains CSU’s Main Campus, Foothills Campus and Veterinary Teaching Hospital.
Trails and Activities
The foothills are packed with large swaths of natural areas and some of the best hikes in Fort Collins. This area is the gateway to the mountains for Fort Collins providing roads to Horsetooth Recreation Area, Lory State Park and the Poudre Canyon.
College Town Life
CSU and West has the best parts of living in a college town like quirky cafes, like the Alley Cat Coffeehouse, and late-night food options, like the very first Fat Shack location. Totally 80’s Pizza is a truly unique restaurant and museum combo in the area. The Holiday Twin Drive-In Theater also calls this section home providing entertainment for the whole family.
