The Growing Music Options for Northern Colorado

CSU Brings Big Country Energy to Canvas Stadium

The music options and venues for Northern Colorado are growing. In July, Colorado State University hosted the Bulls and Beats event, which consisted of a rodeo one day and Professional bull riding (PBR) the other two. On Friday night, Brad Paisley played, on Saturday night Bailey Zimmerman, and on Sunday afternoon Miranda Lambert. This offered a great location and venue for many people in Northern Colorado and the metro Denver area, to attend country music concerts. Canvas Stadium transforms the western side of the stadium into the venue for the rodeo and concerts. It continues to grow in popularity, and is a must see event.

Cheyenne Frontier Days Still Delivers the Big-Show Experience

A couple weeks later we have the option to attend Cheyenne Frontier Days, which is obviously in Wyoming. This is over a weeklong event that has rodeos, concerts and other events/activities for participants to observe. This year we got to attend both the Riley Green concert and the Zach Top concert. Both of these were amazing concerts and among the top performers that I have ever seen. Zach Top even sang some of his Blue Grass styled songs, and sold the venue out. We have attended multiple concerts and events there throughout the years, and it was definitely hands down the most people I had ever seen there.

Taste of Fort Collins Keeps the Music Coming Downtown

In September, the music comes back to Fort Collins at the Taste of Fort Collins event hosted in Washington Park. This year's headliners are Modest Mouse on Saturday, and Lil Jon on Sunday. This event will happen September 26th and 27th, so make sure and get your tickets now.

More Venues, More Genres, More Reasons to Get Out

Blue Event Center is also brining in bigger and bigger acts each year. For example, Jon Pardi is performing there in October. The venues, genres and acts are widely varied for Northern Colorado residents. Comment below which was your favorite concert that you’ve seen in the area.
